Huggies Special Delivery VS Little Snugglers

Millennial Motherhood - Huggies Special Delivery VC Little Snugglers

Since we had our first son we have primarily been using Seventh Generation until my son went into size 6 and we constantly were having issues, sizing up, size down, change more often. Nothing really worked. During the summer of this year we were in a new store close to our new home and they carried Huggies Special Delivery and had an amazing deal on so we got some size 6 for Lucas and some size 1’s and 2’s for Grayson. WE LOVE THEM. However, we ran into some issues with Lucas and his tummy sleeping and leaking through every night so we decided to give a try to the Huggies Little Snugglers Night Diapers and the original for him. That all being said. I wanted to compare the two! If you’ve been looking for a comparison online to make your choice, here it is.

Huggies Special Delivery is the softest, plant based diaper they make. They have a bunch of cute designs on each diaper, demonologist tested, hypoallergenic and go up to size 6 like your average diaper company. Free of all the nasties too. I love that they have the indicator line all the way up to size 6 other competitors do not.

Huggies Little Snugglers is very new to us as we went straight to the Special Delivery. That being said from my research Little Snugglers have this liner called GentleAbsorb but the website nor other websites really specify what that is? is it the gel thats inside the diaper? what chemicals are in these that are not in the special delivery? I also noticed the feel of the Little Snugglers have more of a plastically film to them where the Huggies Special Delivery do not.

Each diaper has the indicator liners going up to size 6, also the pocketed back waistband to hold in those potential blow outs. I believe that the high in size the pocket disappears from what I was examining on the size 6. The only design difference I see is of course the graphics and that the Little Snugglers are black & white.

Special Delivery sizing goes from newborn 6-9lbs up to size 6 where as Huggies Little Snugglers go from preemie sizing 1-5lbs up to size 6. The Special Delivery and the Little Snugglers so far seem to be the exact same but the special delivery are somewhat of an upgrade, although not biodegradable. For those who are looking for a more natural disposable diaper, Special Delivery may be a winner for you! These might be worth checking out, if the cost doesn’t turn you off. So far they are our favourite for our littlest Grayson. From our experience so far, i wouldn’t say it’s any more protection against blow outs. Every baby is different and Grayson has tested these with his blow outs for sure! Especially up the back. A mess can still be made. I don’t believe one diaper is more superior from another with protecting from blow outs. All depends on the power of the baby!

Sizing up in the Special Delivery, like I said previously the pocketed waistband in the back seems to disappear. We do really like the night time Little Snugglers for Lucas because the absorbency liner seems to go fully to the top of the diaper in the front. Best for tummy sleeping toddlers! We have tried numerous night time diapers from competitor brands and so far this is our winner.
