• Week Twenty Two •
At 11 inches and almost 1 pound & about the size of a spaghetti squash!
Where do I begin... We've officially signed up for Prenatal classes at our local hospital for August. We will be going every Tuesday until the end of the month. I couldn't be more excited to be honest! I love learning new things & will go into the classes with an open mind set even if I've read almost every article under the sun it feels. We've officially put our baby registry together as well. If you would like to take a look you can find it here. We used Babylist because I love how you can pull from all sites & is perfectly organized. Spencer really wanted to do the registry together so we deleted the old one I made when I was just super excited and made this one together. I let him have full rein because I want him to feel just as involved since he's not the one carrying our child LOL.
As far as how I have been feeling goes.. I have been relatively emotional. Good ol' hormones. I would cry for no reason & even in public! It was the weirdest thing. Thankfully I think it has eased for the time being. I also had noticed the small things other moms felt were annoying like the repetitive question of how Im feeling, or the saying "Just you wait!". I know it's probably hard for others not to say it but I see the frustration from soon to be mom's side as well now. I try and ignore it instead of letting it alter my mood.
Besides the mood changes & emotions, this last week I have been feeling once again like a slowpoke. It's really frustrating for me when I am normally always go-go-go on work days. Baby had been kicking up a storm and kicking me in the ribs a couple of times which is always a surprise and makes me jump! He normally sits pretty low but I have been thankful he hasn't been using my bladder as a pillow recently. Thank goodness! Last but not least my cravings this week have been raspberries, baked potatoes & banana protein pancakes. omnomnomnom. I have had raspberries as a craving for a couple of weeks now but Im not complaining! So delicious.
We also went camping for the long weekend & it was actually a lot smoother than I had anticipated! It was great because the campsite had real bathrooms and not porta-potties. Ick!
I've been feeling tightness on the sides of my belly because baby boy is growing fast! Rubbing coconut oil has become a daily routine morning and night! I also have to ALWAYS wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom because if I'm sleeping on my side and turn onto my back the pressure is so ridiculous I need to hop up! I think my bladder fills to quickly!
